Old Home Days Plans are Shaping Up

Wilton Old Home Days will be August 10 to 18 this year. A group has been meeting monthly to firm up activities for our church’s participation. Our next meeting will be after church on May 19. Now that we have nearly finalized our events to get them on the Old Home Days (OHD) calendar, we need some people to come forward to take the lead on some of them.

Ham and Bean Supper: Tickets will be sold ahead.
Food Auction: Need multiple people to solicit yummy goods from regional vendors. Need a coordinator to pull it all together.

Booth at the Flat: Need a lead person for scheduling workers
Homecoming Service and Brunch: The Deacons will have the service covered, but would like someone to coordinate the brunch afterwards.

One-Ten Raffle: Dates will coincide with being able to sell tickets at Summerfest and during OHD. Need a person to handle this please.
Game Night – we want to do something fun one evening. Bingo and Trivia are already taken. Games, Cribbage, and Puzzles have been suggested. Bring your ideas and let’s make that happen.

Parade Float: We have a theme, we have a trailer and a place to construct the float. We need some creative people to make the vision a reality! Actual construction will be the week before the parade, but the vision part needs to be in motion to create and gather supplies prior.

If you only want to help manage one of these or just want to work on one or more of these projects, please let us know. It will be great to have a list to work with as OHD draw closer.

NEXT MEETING: May 19, about 11:30, after service and fellowship.
