In-Person Worship To Begin

Beginning August 30th at 9:30 AM

After much prayerful consideration, the Church Council along with the Deaconate board have agreed to start In Person Worship Services at the Church.  Our first service will be on August 30 at 9:30am.  For now, we plan to hold the in person services every other week.  On the off weeks, we will be holding services via Zoom.

What you Need to Know

There are several new protocols that we all need to follow to keep everyone attending as safe as possible.

1)  There will not be Bibles and Hymnals in the pews – Feel free to bring your own bible if you’d like.  Words to the Hymns will be printed as part of the bulletin – like we are currently doing for the Zoom service.

2)   Floors will be marked with tape at 6′ intervals to help people with their social distancing. Pews will be marked with tape at 6′ intervals to keep the social distancing.  Family units can sit  together

 3)    Attendance will be taken at each service – if the amount of people showing up is over what we are safely allowed to have – they would have to be turned away for that service.

 4)    We have purchased a thermometer and will take the temperature of everyone attending. If you have a temperature of over 100.4, we will ask you not to come in

5)     Deacons will seat members coming to church – seating from front to back – then at end of service leave back to front

6)    Bulletins will already be in the pews

7)    Collections – can be left in the pew or continued to be mailed in

8)  The Windows and doors will be open while the weather is good

9)  We have Purchased masks and will have them available if someone forgets theirs or doesn’t have one.  If someone refuses to wear a mask – they will be asked to leave.

10)  There will be sanitizer at the end of the pews where people will be sitting.

11)   We urge people to tell us if they test positive – and urge them not to come if they don’t feel good.

12)     People can still sign up to be the responsive reader & scripture reader (they would do both).  They would sit up front on the alter for the whole service and do their readings from there.  There is still more than 6′ of distance with Kerry up there also.

 14) Bathrooms – We will have cleaner available for folks to wipe down areas before and after their use.
